Changing to Trinity Academy Cathedral
From January 2021, Trinity Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) will be bringing all our academies together under the Trinity MAT name. Therefore, the school name will change to Trinity Academy Cathedral.
The trust recognises that each academy is a unique part of its local community, with its own distinct character and culture and it’s important that each academy retains this. By including ‘Trinity Academy’ in all our academies’ names, we are communicating that we are a family of schools who work together with the shared aim that all the young people in our care fulfil their potential.
Already part of the wider organisation, Cathedral benefits from the excellent resources and support Trinity MAT has to offer, from investment in our students and staff, to improvements in our school buildings, all contributing to the best educational provision for our young people. The progress and attainment brought about by the Trinity MAT ethos resulted in Cathedral Academy being awarded TES Secondary School of the Year in 2019.
The school logo will change slightly to incorporate the new name, and therefore some uniform items will also be updated, however, this won’t be introduced until the start of Autumn term, from September 2021. Check our Uniform Policy for current requirements.
