Name Change FAQs

From January 2021, the trust will be bringing all our academies together under the Trinity MAT name. The school name will change to Trinity Academy Cathedral.

We understand you may have some questions on this change and have tried to answer some of them below. Please contact us if you need any additional information.

Why is the school changing name?

While recognising that each school is a unique part of its local community, with a distinct character and culture, we are to bring all our academies together under the Trinity MAT name.

By including ‘Trinity Academy’ in all our academies’ names, we are communicating that we are a family of schools who work together with the shared aim that all the young people in our care fulfil their potential.

The school name and logo will change, therefore certain items of uniform will need updating. More information appears on this below.

From the start of Autumn term, i.e. September 2021

The new blazer should be worn from September 2021.

If students in other year groups are replacing their kit during this academic year, they need the new PE kit.
