Cathedral Academy is here to serve the local community and our Admissions Policy reflects this. Although our academy has distinctly Christian values our students and staff come from a wide range of backgrounds, and are all faiths and none.
Our vision is to transform the experiences and chances of young people from the local area through providing an education that is tailored to their needs, within an a vibrant, challenging but supportive learning environment. The curriculum is exciting, engaging and developmental and the opportunities on offer build the character, skills and ambitions of our students. All of our work is underpinned by by our unique Christian ethos, core values and the concept that everything is possible.
In February 2020 external inspectors found that ‘Excellent pastoral care walks in tandem with phenomenal academic progress’ (See full SIAMS report here). This is something we are immensely proud which will impact positively on any and all students who attend our academy.
